provided they have the equipment of course, who will connect it to a laptop etc to read memory chip (EEPROM) either way those are usually the best ways as above to get the correct code you require for you to get your radio working up and running and avoid getting sent the wrong code.
as access is mostly required through to the original factory database. The usual advice really with anyone with those units or any other Vauxhall unit that come to justanswer is to try your Main Dealer with the 'all' the numbers inc the one you have their off the radio and they maybe able to access with those via their database the code for that particular unit.differant if it was the same unit from new then you would just use the VIN or Reg number plus proof of ownership and get the code that way.You can also try a local Radio Decoding Service if there are companys local to you that can that or better still a local Car autoelectrics Radio / Audio Shop who are normally the cheapest option if you don't want to go near the Dealer. the majority of those units SIEMENS/VDO/Delco security codes including CDR 2005 aren't easily available for free/cheap in any case from anywhere on the Internet thus the price quoted.
Unfortunalty thats is roughly about the price to get codes for those such units.
